How it all began…

In the heart of Denver, four remarkable women—Ash, Bree, Emily, and Lia—found themselves drawn together by a shared passion for transforming the birthing experience. Their journey began at a freestanding birth center, where they each served as dedicated members of the doula and education team. Together, they supported countless families, guiding them through labor and birth, whether in the comforting embrace of the birth center, the serenity of home, or the bustling energy of hospitals across the city.

Each woman brought her own unique strengths to the team, but they were united by a common mission: to advocate for birth equity and to reshape the way birthing is experienced. Over time, their bond deepened, and they realized that their collective vision extended beyond the walls of the birth center. They dreamed of a collective where they could fully honor their commitment to changing birthing outcomes, one family at a time.

With courage and conviction, Ash, Bree, Emily, and Lia decided to step away from the confines of the birth center. They envisioned a new path, one that would allow them to support families in a more holistic and personalized way. Together, they created a collective that embodies the very essence of empowered, experienced, and compassionate care.

In this new chapter, these women bring not only their wealth of experience but also their hearts, their wisdom, and a deep-seated dedication to every family they support. Whether in the birthing room, leading a childbirth class, guiding a yoga session, or offering other forms of support, they are committed to making a profound difference.

As Rosemary Wellness Collective, Ash, Bree, Emily, and Lia are not just supporting births—they are nurturing a movement, one that empowers families and redefines what it means to bring new life into the world.

Meet the team!

Ash Wilkenson

Hi, I’m Ash! I’m a mom, a partner, a student midwife, a lover of a whole lot of super random things, and a really intuitive human.

I was called to birth work early in my life, and began my active involvement in the local birth community 17 years ago by serving my own friends through their births. Since then, I’ve continued serving families and learning more about birth through my work as a doula, student midwife, monitrice, and even as a paramedic! Working in my own solo doula business for many years, I am so grateful to have found my people in this work - and to have a team I trust so deeply to share care for clients, to process the hard times and to share the good times with. I’m passionate about offering families a wide breadth of unbiased information to draw from, and fostering trust in the birthing person and process. I believe you are the best parent for your baby, and you know your body best - having your best birth starts with trust in yourself and your own intuition.

I have further education in Spinning Babies, Gilligan’s Guide, herbalism, nutrition, and reiki energy work. My midwifery path is constantly exposing me to new things I want to learn in order to support our clients in the fullest way possible. I bring the experience of birthing my own 6 children to the birth room, which allows me to empathize personally with many different birth paths. My clinical education as both a paramedic and also as a midwife allows me to show up for clients in unique and often empowering ways. I tell my clients “I have seen hundreds of babies come out of bodies - but I can’t wait to see what I learn from your birth.” My favorite part of birth work is being a witness to the transformative power innate to every birth - it will never get old! When not working with birthing families, you can find me going on random adventures with my partner, playing with my kids, gearing up for a game of volleyball, sewing up clothes, or hosting my friends for get togethers.

Breeann Overberg

Meet Bree, wife, mama, doula, and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).

With a background in Social Work I was able to learn and grow in supporting families and individuals from all different backgrounds. Pregnancy and birth is a transformative time when you meet a new version of yourself, a stronger version of yourself. As a doula I am passionate about helping families create the intimate and personal birth experience they desire. I am a huge believer in providing and empowering families in evidence based care, so they can choose options that best meet their needs and empower them in the birth space. My desire to pair my doula work with lactation as a CLC was driven by wanting to support individuals in the raw period of postpartum and learning to breastfeed. Outside of birth work my life is filled with time with my husband and two kids. I find myself exploring parks, museums, and nature trails through the eyes of my children daily. I enjoy eating delicious foods, bingeing a good show, and taking naps.

Lia Giannone

Lia’s path into birth work began as a volunteer doula at a Denver hospital, where she quickly discovered her deep passion for empowering and supporting new parents through one of life’s most transformative experiences. Certified as a doula in 2017, Lia has honed her expertise in creating a calm, supportive presence for birthing individuals, offering nurturing touch, words of affirmation, and compassionate eye contact throughout the birth journey. With specialized training in Spinning Babies, Gilligan's Method, and certification through CAPPA, she has had the privilege of supporting families across a variety of hospitals and birth centers in the Denver area.

In 2023, Lia made the decision to leave her corporate career and fully dedicate herself to the birth work she loves. She now focuses on education, attending births, providing postpartum care, and immersing herself in every moment of her clients' journeys. One of her greatest joys is cultivating the lasting relationships and sense of community that naturally develop with the families she works with. Lia takes pride in staying connected with the families she’s supported, cherishing updates on how their children are growing.

When she’s not supporting families, Lia enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, and reading in her peaceful backyard with her husband, John. She also loves exploring the great outdoors with Mozzarella, her adventurous cattle dog mix.
